Williams springs

Just phoned Renault to see how much front suspension springs are and they said i have to look on the spring for a blob of paint so they can tell what springs i need. Aparently different springs have different colours on them. Is this right? Cant they tell from the vehicle make and model? I would have though Williams springs were Williams springs. Please help.

on the springs theres a little blob of paint on it at the bottom i think and it will tell em which ones u got!

i think its jus a quickier way and easier for them

Also on the strut top there are two blobs of colour.

Put full lock on your steering, and get your head behind the wheel and look around the bottom of your spring. There will be a splash of paint there. You may need to clean the spring of dirt first. Every willy that I know of which has changed there springs have all had 2 blobs of white paint. Mine did.

As for prices - have a look @ the last detailed post pal.

Saying that, when I rang Renault in Romford for parts I just gave my reg, but other local dealers wanted a lot more information!
