Williams Wheel Refurbishment.

Just looking to guage interest.

Who would be interested in a Willy wheel re-furb service based in the Midlands.

I would sand-blast the whole wheel then re-paint in a matching gold colour, if your wheel was un-kerbed i would re-cut the silver rim and then lacquer it, if your wheel had damage i would built it up and then spray the rim silver before lacquering.

Who would be up for it and how much would you be willing to pay?
Initial calculations say cost would be £200.

Anybody who knows me knows what the quality would be like!

biggest prob i hear about with re-furbed willy rims is colour not being accurate not the actual re-furb itself

if u can guarantee a colour match ud be very much in demand

mats a perfectionist so quality be assured

i kno kel an jon are interested in a re-furb at the minute they jus worried about colour match

I am very interested - again if the colour is 100% matched.

Would the sandblasting take any of the alloy away at all? not sure if bead or sand blasting is the best option....??!!

Also what do you think your turnaround time would be?

The colour would be as close as you can get, ill go through the colour chart till i find a match, and i will be matching to a set of brand new willy wheels.
Another problem is that there are a few different coloured willy wheels out there so it might be different to what it used to be or your mates but it will match the ones available for purchase from Renault.

The blasting will not remove any of the alloy, i need to see which is best, either a fine sand or beads cos i dont want too rough a finish before spraying.

Turnaround would probably be a week depending on what shift i am on at work.

I would use an organic based shot........reuseable and soft.

Sand wont take any metal off but it will texture alloy slightly, dusty as hell too.

i may be interested matt as i have 2 sets of willy wheels and one set is in dire need of a refurb! The other set just needs the outer rim doing where they have been kerbed!(not by me i want to add)
