Williams3 Prices

This time last year after a reasonable amount of research decided I was going to buy a Williams3 as they generally had a lower mileage despite being more expensive. The Parkers price guide was citing them around £4500 so after seeing a few average ones i snatched up one in excellent condition for £5000. I had some bad luck and ended up needing a gearbox and some other bits and now a year on ive decided to sell cos i need somethink bigger.

I had a look in the current Parkers and it was listing them at £2835 for a good condition one in a private sale!! I know i paid a little over the odds but can this be right?

Autotrader had many Williams varying a lot in price so who can say what their worth?

PS get in touch if your in the market......
Renault Clio Williams3, 1995(N), 79K, FSH, 12 months MOT, 4 months tax. EW, EM, ESR, ABS, PAS, Alarm/Immob

In the past year this car has had; refurbished gearbox, clutch and cable, cambelt, michelin pilot exaltos, rear discs pads and wheel bearings, two major services.

This car is totally standard exept for a stainless exhaust.

What price they say in Parkers and what price they actually change hands for is a differant matter.

Id get a rough price from compairing yours against the ones for sale on autotrader.

Id say that a decent Willy 3 with the average mileage of 80k or so will set you back £4k. Anything with lower mileage or in especially good condition could well go for a lot more. I dont think its unreasonable to say that there is a market for £6k Williams.

I sold my immaculate Willy 1 for £5,250. Parkers is a price guide and really misses the mark when it comes to specialised cars. I dont think that immaculate Willys will ever be going for the £2-3k that Parkers claims.

Thanks for the advice guys, makes me feel a lot better. Id say mine would be an excelent buy for someone due to the work ive had done and the condition of the car.
