Willy alarm - FAO Northy

Rich,

My alarm doesnt seem to be working right. When I stop the car the alarm looks as though it has armed automatically about 10 seconds after turning off, but the hazards flas once to, but the doors dont lock. When i get out the car I press the alarm and it beeps again, the lights flash once but the door pins dont go down, so i press the fooker again and it locks the doors and it flases the hazards twice. Other problem is that it seems to be disarming itself a lot and I have come to get in it in the morning and to my horror the car is unlocked... happened twice now, but have been lucky so far... imobiliser still works however...

New one on me pal, but I’ll try help. Basic operation of the alarm ( Ill go through the basics just to check there ok)

Lets say the car is locked. You press the green button on the key fob and it opens the doors. One flash of the indicators. You should have 15 seconds to get in and start the engine. (led is off) If you do not start it in the given time, the alarm immobilises the starter motor circuit. And the led starts blinking.

Press the green button to cancel the immobiliser, led turns off (indicators flash again, I think its once) and start the engine.

Turn off the engine, you then have 15 seconds to start it again before it re-immobilises. If you get out of the car and press the green button within the 15 seconds it should lock the doors. (led is off) And the indicators flash twice.

If you don’t make it out in the 15secs, the led will start to blink. Too then lock the car - you will need to cancel the immobiliser 1st one flash, and then press he green button again to lock the doors. To get 2 flashes of the indicators. Once locked/armed after a min – you should be able to press the yellow button to trigger the panic alarm. (in-case people are too near)

Other things to try, turn off the siren, , disconnect and reconnect the battery, turn the alarm siren back on (It may make a little beep noise as it gets power again).

If you want, I can bring my spares over to the mag shoot and have a look. The brain and immobiliser is coded to one another, but it may be down to a iffy wire on the alarms brain.

Hope this helps a little pal, sure them cig’s aren’t affecting your figure pressing pal?
