Windows steaming up

  clio 172 cup

Ive had my mk1 172 for 3wks and I have to drive with the air con on all the time, as soon as i turn it off the side and back windows steam up instantly, even if the hot air is blowing full. It doesnt even have to be rainin outside for it to happen

Ive also noticed a draft coming in from outside on the drivers side below the steering wheel near the drivers door, if I turn off the air circulation thing then the draft goes away, could this be linked to my steamy windows problem?

This happens to my 1.2 if I have that button turned on that stops outside polution getting in the car.

Take it off and the windows demist.

Erm which is air conditoning and which is climate control anyway? I just have the one thats uses heat fom the engine lol!

Steamy windows , coming from the body heat:p (Tina Turner)

Mine does it to, no signs of any water leaks in the car , not worked out what causes it yet.

This happened to mine when I first got it and I had the draught by the right leg jobba!

Took it into Renault and they changed the whole air/con and heater pipes within the dashboard area and it is fine now.

your windows will always steam up in any car if you are using the air re-circulation button for a while, its what happens.

nothing wrong, just dont use it unless you are behind a dirty lorry or something then switch it back afterwards and it will be fine.

this has happened to me recently and it hasnt happened before. Ive been driving around with my aircon on a lot and my heated windscreen too.

what about if your can hasnt got air con, & it does it ?
(ive got a valver)
the windscreen is ok, but the rear side windows are awful & they arent letting in moisture.

that rain x stuff is good if u keep using it , but if u decide u dont want it on anymore it will smear your windscreen until it has completely gone
