Windscreen trim corner piece broken

  Weeman sucks ****
I keep catching this piece of trim when washing the car and it pulls off and has broken away from the side piece. I take it this is a windscreen company job rather than DIY?

It hasn't leaked, lol

yeah i thought that but there's some of that black fixing glue underneath. i might give autoglass a call and see what they say. will probably be cheaper to get a new screen through insurance!

  BMW E46 and E36
Mine has been missing since i got the car 6 months ago... Doesn't leek so i don't see a problem (except it looks s**t as it's missing)

I wouldn't mind knowing what autoglass say though.

  mk2 1.2 16v
mine's been hanging off for ages now so looks like its heading the same way.

would be interested to hear what autoglass have to say as well, though i'm not sure what they would be able to do about it other than change the whole windscreen.

just called autoglass, the guy was not only polite but helpful which is very refreshing these days. he just said pop the car into a centre and someone can have a look, probably just a new piece of trim and mastic.

will give it a go i think.

And me. Annoyingly I knew where the bit fell off but I forgot t pick it up after washing the car, and now I can't find it! I think autoglass it a bit OTT to be honest. Surely it's just a trim/seal from Renault?

some dude in the pojects section had this problem he just bought new trims from renault. its the thread about having a perfect showroom condition car again

it wont leak but the top trim the screen might i wouuld take it out reckon the trim has hit the glue so to get it out i reckon the scrren needs to come out
