Wing Mirrors

I have a mk1 Ph2 clio, 1995.

Brought some m3 mirrors off Bayliss, and the damn things wont fit on, the base plates are the wrong size, only slightly, the one corner will not fit on, the hoels line up ok, but the baseplate will not line up wiht the curves on the car.

On the basepaltes it says 94, i just presumed that this ment phase 2, is there a difference in the base plates for the clio between 94 and 95?

no idea, i put a pair of m3 style mirrors on a saab the once n they just looked awful. they dont line up, the baseplates are wack n i ended up sickaflexin the hole thing to the door n held it on witha couple of self tappers.
m3-mirrors = dont go there
