Winter tyre bargain - will these fit though?

£48 for some really decent winter tyres. Not for everyone obviously but cant deny its a good price.

Will 205 55 r16 fit in the arches or will it scrub?

It'll rub. Maybe not under normal driving but will do under full range of steering/supsension movement. Anyway, oversize (this is two size profiles oversize!) is not what you want for winter tyres. You need clearance for snow, so smaller diameter is perhaps a benefit in this respect, and 195 is plenty wide enough.

I like the Nokian brand too, but not really enough of a bargain to go wrong size IMO. Why not try these...

Those are much better and only a little more expensive - good spot.
Dont need any winter tyres, but if i did............
bet it buckets down with snow now that i have said that haha
