Wiring ABS sensor.

Hi,

Does anyone know how difficult it ia to wire an abs sensor? Just my gearbox packed in ao i had to buy a new one and the new one i got did not have the hole to plug the speedo sensor into. A mate of mine said an abs sensor will to the trick ao was just wondering if anyone new how and how hard it is to do?

Tell your mate it's not as simple as that.

What is going to work out the number of pulses per rotation and the frequency which in turn dictates the speed signal output?

You need to do one of two things mate:

1 - replace the gearbox with one that will accept a sensor.
2 - live without a speedo

There is a 3rd option to which is to buy a Dash2 or Stack dash and run a standalone target which you will need to program in to the dash setups but in truth the cheapest option will be to live with it or replace the box (in that order).
