Wiring Loom Fuse

Fuse has gone on the wiring loom caused by my starter motor failing (Clio 182FF). I have to buy a new loom as it can't be replaced ~ £400 plus fitting. Renault won't say what size the fuse is so i can't repair it. Any suggestions??

Have you tried going to an auto electrician rather than a Renault dealer? They might be able to help with fitting an inline fuse (something in the 100 -120 Amp range would be my guess?)
