Worn LHS track rod end

  Oyster Card
Under the car on the left hand side the bit of rubber which sort of looks like a coil has split if you put your finger in it you can feel grease in it, anyway.

When I turn my wheel any amount to the left a get a vibrating type of humming sound I was wondering does this sound like the result of the problem listed above or could it be something else.

Wheel bearings are all fine

I'm not sure if that's what causing it mate but if the gaitor has split I would get it replaced as it will cause you problems. I would imagine the likely hood is that it is the cause of your problem but someone with a bit more knowledge will be able to confirm this I'm sure.
