Would alloys rust....

Car  Clive the Clio no. 2
say after being under 6 feet of water for about 6 hours?

reason is that i would like to save my alloys and put my crappy steelies back on before it gets towed.

also.... would the tyres on the alloys be road legal?

Thanks!

should be fine mate, dont worry. no reason why a few hours underwater would case any real issues just make sure they are holding pressure through the valves.

Yeah they should be fine, is there anything else worth salvaging ?

f**k attempting a wheel change in 6 feet of water.

Hope you can hold you breath well

Lol ;)

alloys dont normally rust they oxidise which i think is more to do with being bare metal exposed to the air so your alloys should be fine .

6 hours?

You not seen top gear, they left a car in the sea overnight.

Will make no difference, your wheels see more water and salt through winter driving than a couple of hrs in it

they are brand new its not like they will have been kurbed with bare metal exposing to the elements. they will be fine i think. and on a side note its fresh water i assume? not sea salt water

Id swap everything you can! its only water, bits will dry out, decat it, i dont know if the water will have killed the cat but itll be worth money at a scrapy

Could you swap the seats with a clio out a scrappy, theyd be worth getting as well
