Wraps are they the future??

Seen a black Evo at the Ring that was wrapped in white, you could not tell till he opened a door.
Got told the idea was after 2 yrs to remove & sell with mint unmarked paintwork!
1400 euros, thought that was cheap as ventureshield for the 197 bumper is about £2-300.

The finish can be great, there was a matt black Gallardo local that was a wrap. No way of telling without looking very closely.

I think they are going to become even more widespread tbh, Nobody wants the real hassle of respraying a car!

It wouldn't be a bad idea on the Cup Steve. The paint on the bumper is s**t, I've never had so many stone chips.

It's around a grand for a solid colour.

Designs spiral in cost because of the way the wrap is applied it takes a lot more time.

If you're doing it to protect paintwork I wouldn't bother.

Call it £1000 to do the initial job, then you get several stone chips on a white wrap over a black car. The front end looks cack up close so you need the front re-doing. That costs money and if the stone chips are big enough to go down to the metal normally, a bit of plastic isn't going to stop it.

If you just want a different colour car and it would hurt resale costs by painting it then wrapping is the answer.

And I presume you can literally colour match any colour and then . . . print it?

Yes, but the finish is never sparkling like paint. Also depends on the colour, you'd tell a black wrapped car a mile off before a white one as it's not as shiny as paint can be (unless you're talking matte colours).
