XBOX 360 Problems

Im looking to buy an xbox 360, there is only for sale around the corner from me on ebay brand new. I was wondering though... if it breaks (ive heard of peoples breaking after 10 minutes) ... do I need proof of purchase to send it back to microsoft for a replacement? The one im looking at is brand new was given to someone for a new phone contract. Anyone had any experiences of sending back there broken xbox?

Cheers,

Daz

I think if it did the person with the contract would need to send it back, with a copy of his contract. But i dont know this for a fact.

I got mine from Play and it was broke from day one. My mates has died after 76 days, so whatever you do, make sure you have the means to get a replacement.

you dont need proof of purchase or bugger all, if its brand new the serial wont be registered anyway so your sorted.

The all have a manufactor date on the back.. granted its normal built couple months before you buy it but they can hardly refuse if the date is not even a year old..
