Dont understand what you are going to gain from getting a PS3 over a 360 ??

A few different games maybe but surely no noticeable quality differences in gameplay/graphics for a long long time.

Still its a lot of money, and its a first revision have fun with the bugs and hardware problems. As there will be some they wont have thought about that only public testing can do. Every first revision console has issues. My playstations before did.

I've only ever bought playstations in the past and I'm so glad I've tried the opposition now because I would have missed out on a great console! The 360 is awesome! I keep finding myself grabbing a quick 5 mins on it which turns into an hour or two!

The PS3 is going to have to be a serious step up in terms of graphics and gameplay (which I doubt) to get my money this time!!

Form all I've seen the PS3 will not be a step up in graphics, pretty much the same as the 360. I don't think I'd take the risk of buying a 1st batch PS3 on import just incase a fault does develop.

Just wait and see is the only answer. I expect it to be great, but to be ultimately shite due to being Sony, therefore badly made, cheap pieces of crap. I used to be 100% Sony fanboy, however after having bought 3 PS2's (I thought it was only 2 as well... ) I bought the original Xbox and it was amazing, never crashed, never broke, well built etc etc and technically light years ahead. I'll see what the PS3 comes out like and buy one after 6 months... maybe...

lol na mate importing it (or anything for that matter) is much cheaper than getting from here.

i can get a psp (with all the goods) from japan for £120. How much do they cost over here?

It was £97, I've seen them for sale in the UK for the same or even slightly cheaper. Add in the risk of import tax and I'd be paying far more than I should do. The PSP price you quoted is very good though.

Gears of War is region locked though.

When the DS Lite came out a load of guys at work ordered them from Liksang. Two of them were stolen by the courier though. They must have worked out what was in those small packages coming from Liksang. Other than that they have always been very reliable.

Ubisoft announced today that the single player playable demo of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Vegas for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be made available to consumers. The Xbox 360™ demo will be available on the European Xbox Live™ Marketplace™ on 23rd October, 2006

This should hopefully be good.
