xenon buld for clio 172?

anyone know where to get a xenon bulb for my clio 172 apart from renault?

easy to fit?

reason i ask is, when i park up the n/s light starts flickering like a strobe and goes out. fine when driving but i expect it's time to change it?

Bulb or ignitors??? Buy two or they look silly...

well i think my n/s xenon bulb is on it's way out. (original renault xenon lights)

It could be a few things - quite hard to diagnose unless you have spare parts to hand.

1) Bulb

2) Starter

3) Ballast


IIRC the starter and ballast come together but are still expensive.
Bulbs are available from other places rather then rip off Renault. Try hunting around you can pick up genuine Philips or Osram ones for the 172/182 for about £55 each ! Half the price of Renault.

And as mentioned replace both not just one.

mine did this! it was not the bulb it was the ballast resistor under the headlamp full of water, best thing to do if you have a spare hour is remove the bumper (its not difficult) take out both headlamps, and swop all the parts over one by one until the fault moves to the other headlamp, then there is you faulty component.
