Xenons don't seem as blue anymore???

Was checking my all my bulbs there as i do weekly...

They seem to be really bright tho not as blue as they used to be??

When i checked them it was dusk about 25 mins ago so not properly dark yet...

Are they more blue at night due to less light?

generaly they get even more blue and not so bright with lots of useage

My drivers side is slightly blue-er than the passenger side. I'm not sure whether they are different make bulbs or whether they randomly change colour.

Hmm well the car is only on 17k, surely they shouldn't need replaced yet?

The standard bulbs are 4000k, yeah?

I've got a pair of 6000k bulbs to go in but a mate said i should have them fitted at a garage, is this right??

Are they a pain in the arse to fit or is it just because of the high voltage that runs through the charge packs to the bulbs?

Yeah its cos you've not switched them off since 2005!!

In bright sunlight i dont use them but from dusk onwards they are on, dark winter days they are on, when its raining they are on...so yeah pretty much been on on 99.8% of the time since 2005 lol

Mine both light the road up the same colour, and when they first go on, they look they same, but when they settle, they settle a slightly different colour, so it may be one bulb is newer than the other.

I wouldn't worry about not being as blue as long as they still are bright enough.

I'm not sure about changing them, but I'd have a go myself, can't be that hard.

Well it was my mate who got me them, he has them on his X5 and had them fitted at BMW...might be harder working on a BM to a Clio i guess?

easy to change as i found out......charger pack twists off the unit once the rubber cover is off, then the bulb has two clips.....bulb comes out...new bulb goes in and clips go back on....charger pack twists back on and your ready to go...

^^ seconded! when i got a new headlight unit swopped all the stuff from one to the other with no problems. easy to do and jobs a good'un!
