xenons....

Car  clio 182
the bulb went in the H/L, (xenon) changed it for a bulb from renault ect,
all done turn'd lights on and the light is shining down as if i had my head lights pointing as low to the car/road as i could. are they self leveling?
may sound stupid but has the bulb got to be fitted a certain way??? in a nut shell one light is shining properly and the others dipped rite down.

Sounds like they forgot to connect up the motor back to it.

Does it just face down? (silver part touching lower part of light?)

Otherwise its just the adjustment, small white allen top adjuster.
But my feeling is motor is off.
Try and get your hand behind there and move the inner lamp assembly gently, if it moves around then its not connected.

And yes they should be self leveling on the 172/182.

The sensor is on the back beam, which adjusts the motors in the lamp.

ye its facing down as in shinig where my spot light shines. is it a take the bumper back off job or can i reach it with out taking it off??

not on the back bumper but on the rear beam underneath the car (the bit between the rear wheels). the white adjuster should be easy enough to spot.
