Yet more Reanult dealer stupidity

Personally i am going off renault pretty quickly, my car has only done 8K miles now and has had more things wrong with it than i can remember!, just realised today that some of my cds have gone missing since the last time i went into warranty, they also blew me front speakers, bass is naffed, couldnt fix the problems i went in for in the first place! yada yada yada!! I had similar experiences with an old rover aswell though. I can see that when the warranty is out the car is going to cost a lot of money so i have to say im thinking of replacing it! and it wont be with another renault!!

billabong, iv had all the different parts they can put on to stop my sunroof rattling. it now stops rattling but now creaks when it is open!! make sure yours doesnt when you get it done, keep hassling them, iv been in about 8 times for it.

Personally I have found my nearest Renault garage is OK but it is probably because it is a "franchised" dealer, but the other "main" dealer isnt nearly as good.

:(

Out of interest GR, which garage is that ? I take mine to the Renault garage at sighthill industial estate.

It used to be Abercromby Renault on Seafield Road who were excellent but has recently been bought by Arnold Clark and I havent been there since the change.

None are as thorough as my local garage.

what was your problem greeper?
Cars passenger airbag deployed for no reason, it took them 4 weeks to fix it under warranty, they kept the car for the entire 4 weeks. Took 30+ phone calls to get it back and they never even valeted it plus they set off another airbag.

Apparently Renault have a problem with the sensitivity of their airbags they can go off if you go over bumps or down pot holes.

Camden in Northampton are under investigation by Renault UK due to the amount of complaints they have had.

I loved the car but hated the service hence Golf Gti

Now why doesnt this suprise me. These idiots wouldnt know a Clio from an Espace.

GPRIM - U sure your cars not a import??

My cars log book is the same as it doesnt have the engine number, i asked the DVLA to add it when i registered it and they wouldnt without me taking it to a testing station to have it checked :-s

Also had the same sh*t service from my local renault dealers, franchise or not they were both appauling - and lucky me ,so was renault UK when i went mental at them

I CERTAINLY HOPE ITS NOT, IT DIDNT SAY ANYTHING ON THE HPI CHECK ABOUT IT. ITS GOING IN ON TUESDAY TO FIX THE EXHAUST AND A CHECK OVER BECAUSE THE SERV LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON, IS IT TRUE THAT THE IMPORTS ARE DIFFERENT TO THE UK SPEC, SOMETHING ABOUT THE SENSORS ON THE EXHAUST. IF IT IS AN IMPORT CAN I REQUEST A NEW ONE FROM THEM. DONT WANT AN IMPORT CAUSE IT CAUSES TO MANY PROBLEMS AND I PAID 12,995 FOR THE CAR. IF IT IS AN IMPORT IT SURELY MUST BE CHEAPER THAN THAT.

Cheers Maff I will bear that in mind when they do it. What I dont understand is some people have no problems with their sunroofs whilst others are nothing but trouble, what do they do differently between cars!????
