Youtube - how do you put a video on there?

Is there any way of transferring a 6 min video onto Youtube, that I recorded onto my hard drive please? I recorded it via a spare flat screen that sits beside my PC and through it I can record from the TV, listen to music and watch DVDs and I wondered if I can put it onto Youtube and being blonde, I don't have a clue what to do!!!!

6 mins should be fine. You'll have to register an account on there. Can't give you much more than that as it's banned at work so can't give you any links or tell you where to click etc

I have just opened an account and saw it can be done from a phone, but it was moving it from the hard-drive I wasn't sure about! I'll see what I can decipher!

Q: What video file formats can I upload?
A: YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.

Edit: It doesn't mention hard-drive so not sure I can do it.......

Its not hard drive you have to worry about, just the format
