Thats an awesome job. Would love to see the owners faces. How much will you charge them for that?

It's my one of my own, I bought it like that.

Something like that i'd charge £150 for the trade, £200 for a private customer.

What an oversensitive little potato you are,
my parcel shelf's worse than that hole car you stupid bald spudgun.

I think this is only the second time i've been in the detailing section,
still twice as many times as i've been in football chat.

Spot on Dan!

How many times did you have to empty the hoover? ;)

Believe it or not, I haven't emptied my Hoover since I started the business in January! It is massive mind you, 3ft tall at least, but I'm dreading the day I need to!

  A special one.
After seeing the 2 scum cars you've done so far I think I would be paying someone to empty that hoover...:)

On average I do 2 cars a day, and probably 1 minger a week..... Since January!! I'm tempted to just scrap the Hoover and buy a new one! Lol.

What an impressive result mate, I'd he happy to hand the money over for that end result.

People think its a lot of money, but in its dirty state, nobody would buy it. So effectively it's worth nothing. Spend £200 on having it cleaned properly and it's now a low mileage £5995 car. It's a no brainer IMO.

I'm not a detailer mate, better off finding someone more suited to that sort of work.

Thanks for the offer though.

Bloody good job and great turnaround! I think you could take on some detailing jobs, enhancement at the least!

Mate, the word detailing gets on my tits. The only detailer Who I consider worthy of the title is Jim at WD. (admitedly i've not seen many peoples work!)

I get some cars in that have been 'detailed' and my £50 valet is better. It's a joke. I'm pretty confident I am as good if not better than a lot of 'detailers' but I don't consider myself anywhere near the likes of Jim @ WD so I will not ever call my work 'detailing'.

Stunning work mate. Why the f**k did you use 3 polishes though? Testing?

Seriously that thing was horrendous. Proper grafter mate.

Revitalize is really good for deep swirls, in fact apart from G3, it's the only product I have that's aggressive enough for marks as bad as on this one. P1 I then use to clear up any machine trails (I love this stuff!) and Triple was used to make look a bit bling before I photo'd it for the for sale advert. On a freshly polished car it takes no longer than 10 minutes tops to do.

Maybe one day i'll bring the dog kennel down and see what you can do with it,
I don't even wipe bird sh*t off it I just wait until it rains.

I'm just not the kind of bloke that cares how shiny his car is,
if I spend money on it, it's always to mechanically improve it somehow.

Is it even possible to do a £50 job on a car like that that could make it look half decent?

Perfect mate. Are you just using the one polish out the 3 in the revitalise kit?

I just thought it was strange to go to P1 but whatever suits. I polish cars almost completely different to other detailers but it's what works best.

You'd be suprised what a 1500psi 95 degree hot wash will do mate! Just spending a good hour washing the arches out, under the sills, the door shuts/boot shut etc will make the car look ten times better. Spend an hour hoovering it and all your left with is to wipe down the interior plastics and clean the glass. Hey presto a prefectly presentable car.

I use revitalizr but the pink one (refine?) I find a bit pony. I prefer Autoglym paint pro refine. Its really easy to work with and creates zero dust (Providing you use a new pad)

Yeah i'm not down with the lingo mate. I'm not a keen follower of products and names/processes etc. I do this for a living so i'm not interested in wasting time i'm interested in presenting cars to the best of my ability at a reasonable cost to the customer.

I did link an Astra I did a while ago. That was 'detailed' by a mobile detailer at a cost of £240 and then given to me to perform my £80 deep clean on it because the 'detail' was crap. Makes my blood boil.

Funny when someone says they have just detailed their car when infact they have washed it and polished it!
