My new TR Mk4 R32.

Car goes back into the bodyshop on Monday. Roof is being redone and full front end is being resprayed.

Will they be able to match the red you already have GAZ.From my very limited experience the pigment goes off over the years, will they do a colour match first.

Some of the worst cars ive seen under petrol station lights are red and silver.

Glad to hear it's being sorted mate. Let me know how you get on.

Roof had a couple of surface scratches and a stonechip with a ring of lacquer peel round the stonechip. The front has some scratches on the underside of the bumper and some stonechips.

Just need to let them do their job. I won't accept substandard work.

Im sure in this day and age it will be fine, just drive straight to a petrol station at night the day its done lol.

Gaz why is a 32k (iirc) car getting basically a full respray pal, I thought it was an absolute minter?

Mileage is almost irrelevant. Previous owners used it to walk the dog, take crap to the tip and the female owner could barely see over the steering wheel hence the scuffs and Kerbed wheels!

Fair enough. I just thought it was a minter with from what's been said and the milage.

I'm sure it will be fine when done, its a lovely car. I still haven't seen a red one in the flesh.

It's got the most potential to be...not many low 30k mileage R32 's in the uk, in less in Rare colours.

Sure oooor gaz will have it looking flawless soon enough.

Oh, it's back! :D

I can't think how small that will be but anything bigger than a 10mm gap from reg plate to plinth edge will look tird.

I'm funny about reg plates. The smoothed bumper just looks unfinished and an after thought.

Give it a go but I doubt it.

I just use full size plates with my private reg but I cut the sides off so it has the same gap around the letters. That looks good I think.

I'm gonna go for it but I'll have the plinth painted, incase I change my mind. I'll just leave the holes unfilled as my plate will cover it anyway.

Well, the R32's been getting some TLC to bring it right up to scratch for the Spring/Summer.

300mm x 84mm, but I changed my mind.

Hopefully get get the car back on Thursday on my return from Shetland.

Gaz.

Looking good, how comes you didn't go for blending into the doors etc?

Not really required due to where the basecoat (colour) will go, ideally if there were chips or damage you would but in regards to cost it's not required and you know how fussy I am.

Patchwork quilt iirc :)

Aye agreed, Gaz is going for different colours on every panel, eh mate?! Still a shed. Glad someone else bought it ;)

Heard a black one burble passed me the other day. Sounded superb. S3 has nothing on them for sound, that's for sure, even with a massive chav filter!

;)

Tbh, I was advised against it due to it being a solid colour (non-metallic).
