Help! Broken Abs ring 172 cup????

What is this broken ring? Its loose on the shaft behind ps hub

Shout i just cut it out or is it needed

I'd be more concerned by the lower ball joint pinch bolt that's not fully home

Was replacing wishbones at the time

Pulled it off with a pair of pliers job done lol

Replace it with a zip tie.
