Lost TV channels

I’m probably being a dumb girl here but I’m gonna admit I’m a bit stumped.

I’ve got freeview built into my tv and yesterday it said I needed to retune to get new channels or something, so I did this using the automatic channel scan.
Upon completion all I got was a completely messed up screen

Did another scan and got actual channels this time but have lost all BBC channels...

I've done yet another scan but still no luck
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sash, make sure aerial is ok in tv/freeview box, press menu on the remote,,select set up or similar, press first time set up, or it might say factory/or default , then scan again. If this does not work, email/text me.

Think I’ve found the problem!

I’m not entirely sure but I’m sure this light should be on... I’ve unplugged it and nothing changed 🤷🏼‍♀️

Samsung LE37B550 (12 years old) freeview TV used in the kitchen.

Retuned and have lost all BBC channels.

Tried manual tune, auto tune, factory reset and still no joy.

Took an equally old Sony off the bedroom wall took it downstairs and tried the same aerial connection and it finds ALL channels. Back in the Samsung and no BBC :(

Could it be the tuner in the TV has failed even though it still gets 116 other digital channels at 80%+ signal strength? It just seems odd that it’s only one mux that it can’t tune.

Turned out the amplifier had died. Since I’ve had a new one it’s been good as gold.

My shitbox samsung tv cannot show standard def freesat without delaying the audio from the video significantly. It also turns itself back on without input. I have tried throwing my "smart" remote at the wall at terminal velocity but it continues to survive.

Have you tried changing the aerial cable itself? This makes a huge difference

Which MUX? COM8 is generally known to be substantially lower transmit power than the other muxes and can cause issues, I can't remember if it's this year or next that the power will be increased.

Heres a screenshot from my TVheadend server, it has 9 tuners in it (one for each MUX), although I'm running a test kernel I build the other day where I limited the number of tuners to 8, so I've dropped the LTV MUX. Could technically record every single freeview channel at once!
