I hate working on my Leon everything is hard work lol.

Had to take the how suspension leg, hub and wishbone out as one which was stupidly heavy.

Everything was seized together. Think the aluminium hub and arms didn’t like the use of steel bolts

Managed to separate them all. Whilst that lot was off it made access to the turbo much easier so set about removing all the intercooler/turbo hoses and silencer.

I stopped at this point

Still loads to do. It’s like having two projects

Had this arrive tho

Thinking maybe to rework the panel or size up a Cartek panel

Getting out of hand quick

Fitted the high flow throttle pipe and compared the intercoolers

Leon is moving along slowly.

Intercooler and rad pack all fitted back to the car

Coil overs and hubs back on.

Also bagged a front splitter

Hoping to get on track with this in March

Well happy with this little lot and sticks to rule of 1 step forward 2 back as the box needs to come out

I’ve removed it all to go full standalone but I save up some cash and the spent it on the pedal box

Spent 10 minutes on the Clio last night and the gearbox is only held in by the PMS mount and too 2 bolts.

Plan is to be a clever dick and hopefully shove the gearbox over just enough to change the fork, as I don’t want to lose the gearbox fluid.

Just make sure that driveshaft doesnt pop out! Think youll have to drop the subframe down slightly still to get to the fork

The PMS mounts are one of my favourite mods tbh. No movement at all. I went from standard mounts to vibratechnics to PMS and they’re night and day better.

Yes mate. The it was designed to go over 2118s

It’s a JamSport calliper and bracket kit with AP bells and rotors

Done some more on the Leon, had to tweak a few bits on the intercooler pipe work as it was catching the fans.

Fitted the rest of the suspension too, arms ball joints, track rod ends, hubs etc

Also fitted power flex rear console bushes and what a pain in the arse they were. Power flex I find are always a pain, not sure why I decided to get them Hopefully they’ll perform well or I’ll have to swap them out for the whiteline version.

Hopefully finish it today and will start making progress on the Clio. I did fit the starter motor last night and drive shaft on the Clio

Starter motor 5minutes, drive shaft 5 minutes. No acceptable lol

So the Leon is just about done bar a final height adjustment, nut and bolt check.

just a quick question about your front crash bar did you just drill out the spot welds and take off the front skin as it looks far to neat to be cut off lol

crash has been cut yeah. Did the same on the blue shell and the storm shell.

Final ride height set, stud & nuts fitted along with 11mm front and 16mm back spacers.

Track day didn’t go too well

Was black flagged for noise and couldn’t get back on after 10.30am. Mate I went with also had a Rear callipers lock on coming down the devils elbow putting him into the barrier, so had to leave a lunch to get my trailer to recover him back.

Leon preform much better than last time. Much more planted than before. Needs better tyres, seats and brakes tho.

As I’m still having to work to supply the garages with essential items I made the most of my day off today.

Pushed the car outside and gave it a wash

Managed to remove 95% of the vinyl glue from the plastic windows, need to heat up the reminder and the few bits on the bodywork
