On marketplace for £40.
Needs new batteries.
Is it worth a punt?

I think I'll just get a new set.
For some reason I feel like I need an Impact driver even though I don't do much DIY 😂

You do. Any task is so much easier being able to drill hole, put in screw without f**king about.

Got a couple sealey modular cabinets and 2 metre work top for the grand total of 440! They were going for less as had some small defects, made an offer and had an ebay 5% deal, perfect timing, was going to buy some a few months back, would of paid a bit more if I went for it then.

The 7 drawer and middle cabinet, I already have 2 of the wall cabinets so will eventually get a third and have a complete setup.

Time to move out I think!!

Recently bought this kit when there was an offer on including a free radio and £50 cheaper than currently advertised. I'm very impressed with the quality of the kit and so far it's been perfect for DIY home renovations.

Have another at Makita, that way its easier to upgrade or get other tools with the same battery

This any good?

I really rate my Erbauer kit, the drill I have is the model up from the one in that kit but I can't see that you'd have any issues.

My dad has the Makita kit and you genuinely can't see a difference between the two. If anything the combi/hammer drill I have is better than the Makita

But more seriously - I really want a planer! Was doing some oak recently and a good planer would have made life SOOO much better
ive been doing lots of oak stuff recent, hence the purchase of a planer.

been joining oak together

Ah ok. Don't the other tools use the other battery?

Obviously youve quoted regarding Makita.. with the Erbauer kit is showed all batteries are interchangeable and there are loads of tools that are available. Perfect kit / brand for a DIY man and I've no doubt they will last me a long time

I'd not get the kit Kyle linked, it's not the LXT range so you'll be limited on other tools.

Anyone used the sgs compressors ?
My old 24 litre one is dead, but I'm trying to convince myself I need the 50 litre. I use it mostly with blow guns for detailing car interiors, blowing out switches and between seats etc.
But i just cant bring myself to spend the extra 40 quid to get the 50 litre. Someone help !!

If you can stretch to it something like this is loooads nicer to live with:

Plus its basically a Kia so @Romanian Tyre Fitter will nosh you off too.

Just make sure you use the guard, take shallow cuts and dont put your hands above the blades. It's so easy to lose a finger with a planer/thicknesser. Scares me everytime I use mine, nearly as much as my spindle moulder does 🤣

Too late, already bought the sgs one. But they do have 30 days return policy. So they might be getting it back

These are a lot cheaper than I thought. I don't see how I'd be able to use it to it's full effect really as I don't need it for power tools.

Has anyone got an M18 angle grinder? I need to buy a new one and I'm struggling to justify one, I have no other M18 tools just M12 or 240v, its like £50 for a nice Makita corded grinder or pretty much £200 for a Milwaukee with one battery......

I don't like the price and won't use it often enough to justify the difference however get put of loads of jobs when I've got to dig out an extension etcect. So the attraction of a good battery grinder is high.

I have both m18 angle grinders and I gotta say they are much much better than what I was expecting!

I use the small one with a flap disc and avoid doing intensive cuts then use the larger one for cutting as it has great power.

Think the smaller one is circa £100 and can pick up a battery for around £40 no? May be wrong!
