I definitely think the hard water situ makes a difference. Reset was just so slick on the panel. Ill up the dilution and have suds on the driveway for weeks its fine by me

Our area is hard water too. It's at 21 clarke.

How many caps fulls of Reset do you use? I use 4 caps and it's perfect.

Will try 1900:1 soon now @imprezaworks is sending me some, so i will report back.

21 Clarke? My PPM meter just gives me a number. Usually well over 250ppm.

4 Capfulls of Reset? Suds for years lol. I think I used to use 4 but then lowered it and still got on fine.

I did have a sample of Super Suds which I found to have better lube (lol)

Yours is similar to mine then. mg/l is ppm

Yeah 4 caps is about 30-40ml in a 20L bucket.

Oh yeah. I had a feeling it would be just another scale of measuring.

Give 2 or 3 a go and see how you get on. I found 2 just fine.

Im gonna scale up the 1900:1 to more than expected and see if it bumps up slickness. It suds up really nicely though I wont lie

Reset dilution is meant to be 400-500:1 from what i've seen, which means i'm already using it weaker than it's meant to be 😂

Do you know the source of the smell?

If it's in the upholstery, that stuff will only mask it for a while.

Previous owner was a smoker, I can't smell it much but the wife was complaining.

It's full leather so it's mainly going to be the headlining and carpets.

Get the carpets wet vacced.

For the headliner, either wet vac or steam clean.

Then use Valet Pro Enzyme Odour Eater on both once dry.

@Daniel

Is that what you use to get rid of smells in cars?

Yes, they’re really good.

turn the engine on, put the air con on full blast (hot or cold) and set the air to recirculating on face and feet (not windscreen!) and make sure all the vents are open.
Pop the can on the centre armrest in the front and let it off pointing upwards, shut the door of the car and leave it for 20 minutes.
then, turn the car off and lock it up and leave it over night. Will smell like brand new in the morning.

Ordered 3 as the other 2 cars smell of wet dog.

Will follow your way 👍

Tried them all and AG polar seal is my favourite.

Needs a foam lance to spray it onto the car tho.

Was only 500ml I think. They sent out ten on detailing world.

Mmm think it's 50/100ml per lance.

I may use it on thr better half's car. Its very similar to the autosmart stuff but dearer. Probably lasts longer.

But autosmart aquaseal is great. Especially for sales cars :)

I use Carbon Collective Hybrid. Can't fault it tbh. Not used any others though so can't compare.

Well. You lads were right. That Infinity Wax detail spray is the absolute nuts. I've never ever used a spray that is so easy to use. Spray, wipe and leave. Didnt even streak and I was properly taking the piss by the end of it seeing how much I could apply before it looked crap. Wtf is in this stuff 😆
