I fucked a brake union, couldn't find my old vice mount tools so bought one of these:

There's bits in here I have never seen before, like the additions to go into a ratchet spanner if it's too tight for a full size ratchet

Just don't break any of the torx bits.

I've had the small T30 break a year ago last May, took it in and they said they don't stock them and that it has to go back to head office.... Never heard anything and they didn't know when I chased it up.

Just left it as I still had the longer T30... Now that has broken 🤦🏻‍♂️

Surely they should have some stock in store?

They often have stock, but I normally go grab the bits out the cabinet then ask for a swap, generally the Halfords Pro/Advanced stuff is much better quality than expected but their torx/allen bits are brittle as f**k.

The new set Cookson has bought is more sensible than the old big set! decent lenght breaker, nice impact swivel joints, looks like no imperial bits - my older set is half full of imperial.

I've found whenever i break a torx bit they swap them out with the solid ones rather than the security ones with the hole in the middle, seem much stronger

Tried getting on with a manual vernier caliper (although that's what a vernier caliper actually is) for working down in the garage and quite simply my brain is too slow to work it out 😂😂 / I just end up rounding the numbers up or down defeating the purpose of a vernier caliper.

So I've just treated myself to a 150mm Mititoyo digital caliper for down in the garage.

I got the 200mm version for inside the house and love it so much. I probably use it daily, so wanted to have similiar for when 3d prints are done to measure. Excited to get it!

Spent a bit too long trying to work out what you actually meant by mititoyo until I clocked it's actually a real word.

Staying in £26 a night crack dens has allowed me to spend on the red stuff.

I actually got these a while back mind, and I'm still recovering financially.

The Ryobi lawn mower went back under warranty after just 15 uses, so that's good, isn't it.
Working fine now, but hoping to pick up a bargain Milwaukee jobbie now the summers gone.

Looking to get an impact driver, not tied to any particular brand battery wise so whatever I get might be the start of that so some red tools might not be a bad way to go...

Hunting down a wiring fault on the Mrs car so gone to town on a few bits 😂 but wanted somewhere to store my electrical bits like code reader, multimeter, battery tester. At the moment theyre all thrown in various places which is not great and stresses me out trying to find them.

So ordered this from amazon purely for electrical bits.

Along with these to store the multimeter connections in.

Ordered these as I currently just have standard probes for mine which are a f**king pain.

Then I don't actually have a glow light so ordered this too 😂

And then finally I don't own a clamp meter that does dc current so ordered this last week from aliexpress. A fair bit cheaper than amazon too
