Can you generate one of those images for my car? Mondial blue and inferno orange around the edges!
Also, a pleasure to make your acquaintance, you fat wanker.
NB: I’m a gradually expanding wanker myself.

Why are the wheels rotationally blurred on a static model?
I generated it from this pic

1) Go to Google Gemini
2) upload a picture
3) copy paste this prompt:
Use the nano-banana model to create a 1/7 scale commercialised figure of the car in the illustration, in a realistic style and environment. Place the figure on a computer desk, using a circular transparent acrylic base without any text.
On the computer screen, display the ZBrush modeling process of the figure. Next to the computer screen, place a BANDAI-style toy packaging box printed with the original artwork.

That’s impressive! My Alpina:

Tried to do some other cars and it kept the same alpina on screen and on the box, despite prompting 3 times to change them. That’s the brilliance and limitations of AI right now!

First time off the trailer this year. A quick charge on the battery and it fired straight up

Last year I noticed the brand new mudguards on the trailer were starting to melt. Turns out when you put new mudguards on a trailer with no weight on it, that 20mm gap you left is immediately taken up 🤣 Dopey c**t

Stripped the trailer down

Thought "f**k it, I'll paint these whilst they're off"

Did the spare as well last night

Just need to redrill the mudguards, mount them and get my tyre rack fitted this week. Then the trailer is good to go for trackdays this year

Fresh paint on the steels make them look a million times better. Love these little things which make all the difference.

Plodded along with the trailer. I managed to grab a cheap Woodford tyre rack locally from a lad I know who had the same trailer (except the poor fucker had his nicked)

The issue is, when he had it, unbenown to him it was missing parts. Thankfully @JJ had some perlins and I cut one up to make a nice set of brackets up to tie the headache rack in properly

Focused some time on the Clio, it's not turned a wheel since last year so needed the brakes cleaning up and an oil change

Brakes cleaned up. They would have cleaned up just using it, but I gave it a quick helping hand with a stripping disc on the grinder

Whilst I was in there, I noticed the rust is still progressing. This winter it will get some welding work done and hopefully an engine will get built

Checked the front pads

Loads left👀🤣 #YorkshireSpec

Gave it some fresh oil and a genuine filter. I'm using the same oil as I use in the 5 series now

Whilst loading back up I snagged the wiring for the lights on the trailer with one of the ramps. Which meant Thursday morning I was bodging together the wiring 🤦🏻‍♂️ You can see the bar it runs across is bent so I removed that and bent it back too

Then my rear floppy marker wasn't lighting up. So checked the wiring and scratched my head

Turns out if was just a bulb🤦🏻‍♂️

After those fixes I set off down to Donington at dinnertime. I met @Rskennedy and @Clio_fool on the way and we convoyed down

Track time. Sighting laps opened my eyes to how mental Donington is, I've seen endless laps of it on YouTube but they don't do it huge justice. It reminded me of the first time I went to Cadwell

First few laps out after the sighters @Myfanwyi Saunfire said he wanted to jump in. Glad he did because turn 1 would have had my f**king pants down. Big props to @Tighten My Nuts too, Mark gave a few points to look out for on the track of where to brake and turn in and once I looked for those bits it made it so much easier. Having free tuition from mates is always handy🤣

Anyway track pics, you can see Andy in the first one saying "the corners over there silly fat c**t"

The car ran spot on again. I managed over 50 laps in 3 stints and apart from the pedal going firm once I had no issues... Well maybe that's not the truth. I had a bit of a mini-moment coming through craners when Filters was in the car and it could have gone worse if I hadn't wrestled the car away from the grass on both sides and got it's arse slapped. A round of applause was had because Andy was spared his life

Then I noticed it felt a bit squishy on the rear right coming through craners. It didn't want to rotate like it usually does. Came into the pits, fronts 30psi, rears 24psi whilst smoking hot🤣 That'll do it🤦🏻‍♂️

Oh and I kept getting massive vibration, 115mph down the straights and unbalanced wheels. Checked today... Maybe it wasn't just them being unbalanced🤣

Glad you liked Donny! I loved it when I went back in 2014. I had an off too as I went off the dry line slightly and it was proper greasy! Grass cutting was proper brown pants 🤣😬

I got a video somewhere

For me, Donington is the best track in the UK. It’s absolutely sublime when you get it right, and it’s fuckin fast as well. Craners is without doubt, THE best corners of any track too. In my mk2 it was flat at around 110. In the mk3 it was 115/120, then heavy on the brakes for the old hairpin. Lol
Agreed, Donny has some proper flow to it

After checking the car over it made me realise that it needs work, however, I have contemplated getting a Z4 for a track car for the last month or so. Mainly because RWD and more power, but the amount of money it'd take to get a nice one, then make it right would be more work than just sorting the clios bits

Plus I don't want to part ways with the car

So the plan will be get the welding done, put together an engine, maybe a full cage and the roof scoop fitting. Then it'll want a few other bits tidying up whilst them bits are underway

So with any hope nothing goes horribly wrong between now and then and I don't have to shell out for something big
