Wow. Can't believe you are ruining Kyles thread like this.
Let’s ruin it some more

After checking the car over it made me realise that it needs work, however, I have contemplated getting a Z4 for a track car for the last month or so. Mainly because RWD and more power, but the amount of money it'd take to get a nice one, then make it right would be more work than just sorting the clios bits

Plus I don't want to part ways with the car

So the plan will be get the welding done, put together an engine, maybe a full cage and the roof scoop fitting. Then it'll want a few other bits tidying up whilst them bits are underway

So with any hope nothing goes horribly wrong between now and then and I don't have to shell out for something big

Might save you a fair amount of you can find a shell that doesn't need welding, has a full cage and a roof scoop already fitted.

Depending on the cage you'll have to have all the dash out then cut it to fit.

If you want an engine then you'll have to take it out anyway so it makes a reshell make more sense with everything you want to do.

So just use this one whilst he builds a new one from scratch? Your man maths is elite Tom.

It’s man maths level expert but I agree 👍

Just spitballing but how hards a rwd conversion? Youd still have a Clio but a completely different driving experience.

Sierra 4x4 floor pan, maybe a VAG lump in there with the AWD box converted to RWD only. Probably get a VR6 in there. While you’re on you might as well turbo and supercharge it. Absolute doddle.

By different driving experience you mean absolutely awful?

Buying Toms shell and reshelling the car again sounded like a good idea at first. But the more I thought about it the more I couldn't be fucked, I was balls deep in the house renovation, work and I had 5 cars at the time with only 1 working. Buying another huge project wasn't on the cards

I was thinking more like body dropping on an MX5 chassis.

Finally pulled my FF Titanium 182 out of my brother's car port. It's been parked there since 2020

There was a hedgehog that had made a little home underneath the cover against the front bumper. At first I s**t myself because I thought rats had been at it

I'll start another thread for the tidy up on it when I get round to sorting bits on it. It felt weird to sit in a standard Clio, I forgot how comfy the standard seats are and high up you sit🤣
