Nurburgring 172 Clio cup callipers

  dci126 & H&R'd 1*2
Is there someone who still has access to the old Renault parts lists?
Like from 2002-2005ish.
I’m looking for the parts diagram and part numbers for the “optional” Nurburgring 4pot callipers.
I know they offered these as an upgrade specifically for the 172’s (maybe also 182) that did endurance racing at the ring.
They were Lucas racing, 4 pot callipers which were a direct replacement for the oe calliper and fitted with oe disks.

As said, any info about their part numbers and or diagrams in which they’re shown would be much appreciated and very helpful.

Cheers!

I’ve heard people mention them as an option but don’t think I’ve ever seen a car with them fitted or seen a set for sale.

Most people tend to just use the 197/Meg 4 pots. The Brembos and 300mm scenic disks just go under standard 182 wheels with spacers, different brackets let them use 280mm disks that fit under 15s with various levels of success.

Thanks for the reply!
I actually have them fitted to my car but as I live in Belgium its a bit of a hassle to get them approved for the mot.

For to “be ok” I need to show that they are approved by the manufacturer, which would be no problem with an oe parts number and diagram in which they appear.

I have done a little research. I think there are two sets. I think you are referring to these?

Lucas/Girling 4‑pot “Group N / VLN endurance” kit

  • Motorsport only
  • Direct fit
  • Uses OE 280 mm discs
  • Used by Nürburgring endurance teams
  • NOT sold to the public
  • Extremely rare

However RenaultSport Belgique also released a dealer only Yellow 310mm discs yellow RS AP Racing brake kit. I dont think these are the ones you are after.

I cannot find any reference to the parts with part numbers are they were Motorsport only therefore no Renault parts number entries as far as I can tell
