Well this sucks..... (Vacuums)

@seb don't bother. It no longer mops, can't refill or something when trying to dock to the water station. 80% of the time he no longer docks to the cleaning station. His cleaning ability has gone from spot on to the equivalent of me with a vacuum.

I'm going to raise all this with Switchbot but I need to submit 11 different types of videos and photos as evidence.

Cheers bro!

Yeah I did bottle it myself as I thought this is bound to go wrong.

I have been sticking with a decent qualtiy Miele vacuum and a seperate electric steam mob for the tiled downstairs...

I think I was probably a few generations early, when it was working it was brilliant and I might just have got unlucky but I reckon a few years and they'll have nailed it properly.

Ive had a Roborock for the last 3 years, its been flawless other than about once a year i need to remap (stage 2 bro...) the house as it seems to get confused and start walking into walls and getting lost

That is good to hear, hopefully I'll get the Switchbot fixed and it wil be OK, docking is probably just a remap but not good on the mopping after 6 months

I also see Roomba are going bust.

Geoff the vacuum died.

In fairness to Switchbot, raised a support thing with them yesterday, got an email this morning to say they don't have repair facilities in the UK so Geoff the second will be dispatched in 5-7 days.

robo vacuums, who's got one?

we've just moved in to the house and the dog hair is quite apparent, so I think we're going to get a robo vacuum to try and keep on top of it all!

What's good?

We've got a Tapo one. Really easy to set up and does an ok job. It has caused carnage a couple of times though, but that was our own fault for leaving things laying around

It's doing the dining room at the moment

that's cool that you can map out areas, I thought they just went anywhere and everywhere!
It did the mapping by itself too! When you first set it up it just goes off exploring for a bit and you can see the map building on the app as it goes. You then tell it what room is what, carpet or hard floor etc, set no go areas. Then you can have room specific settings aswell. It's impressive to be fair
