182 Trophy Question

Hi everyone I've just joined and have a question for any 182 Trophy owners.

I've just had my 182 Trophy serviced today and I've been told that my top engine cover is missing.

I've had some issues with Renault over this car as previously I discovered they failed to fit the fromt air splitter and one of the "Trophy" stickers.

I'm now in the process of writing another angry to Renault to try and get things fixed yet again.

Has anyone else had a similar experience ?

Can anyone who owns a 182 Trophy confirm that there's has an engine cover.

i didnt think the trophy had an engine cover ? i believe its only the FF 182's

The Trophy doesn't have an engine cover. Only full fat 172s and 182s have that. The Trophy is based on the 182 Cup.

Which sticker did they miss? It only has two. One on each sill.

Front splitters are dealer fitted and sometimes they "forget" to fit it, or do a bad job. It's not factory fitted as it won't clear the trailer when being delivered.

Years ownership on mine, no problems so far, no engine cover on the trophy.

As has been said, there is no finishing panel on the Trophy (or the cup) and the only stickers are along the sills, and the numbered sticker on the drivers seat base.

Forgetting the splitter is a common problem so I wouldn't feel too hard done by on that if I were you....

If it's the numbered plaque that was missing then the previous owner used to be on here. There was on car where they forgot to put the plaque on.

I'm just going to call them to book mine in for it's 24k service. And of course for knock from the front to be fixed. The one which no dealer seems capable of fixing, the one which now happens at idle it's so bad.

I'd go somewhere else Lee. While they're rebuilding the existing site they've moved all operations over to an industrial estate in Aldridge. I thought they were bad before but I had to pay them a visit a fortnight ago and my god it was a shambles.

The sticker they missed was the Trophy one on the outside sill.

That got sorted after a ranting letter to Renault.

I was just writing another one but I'll hold off for now and check with a mate of mine who also has a Trophy.

Yup, I'm a Midlander located in Nottingham. My Trophy is number 124.

They mentioned they were doing that for the time being.

So far they are the only dealer I've used who have actually fixed anything on any of my Clios. Renault Birmingham just say they think it's fixed, when a 5 minute drive would show them it's not.

I'd use Wolvo if it were convenient for me.

where abouts did you take it for a service?i live in mansfield and i am looking at gettiing my 182 booked in somewhere decent??
