exaust/ecu remap question?

i have a de cat and full system on my mk 2 172 cup, 2.5 inch pipework with no silencer and have a lack of back pressure, i have considerd fitting a silencer to increase back pressure but have been advised that the best solution would be to get a rolling road remap not to increse back pressure but (in simple terms, because i am simple!) to let the engine know that there is no backpressure and increse fuelling to compensate. is this a good plan or not?? any advise is appreciated as i dont have much technical know how with cars, thanks!

Wud this be same case on 182?.
I have decat & 2.5" straight thru centre, but was told scince it has 2 backboxes they still give back pressure?
