after a 2 week wait, my cobra daytona's trimmed in black vinyl/leather harneses and the new extra low subframes turned up :D going to try and fit them on saturday, can any 1 tell me wat i need to look out for/do?

thanks craig

got any pic's .

fitting is easy .

bolts are under the car rubber cover's on them . you will need to disconnect the battery or the air bag's may go off in your face (not good ) . fit new seat's and harnesses and connect battery up and hey presto .

nice one tim :D i have got some pictures will post them up later as im at work

lol @ the airbags comment! would be most amusing :rasp:

i was thinking, it wud be amusing after i have cried, those are the moments where u just cant help but laugh

bk on a serious note, wat airbags do i ave to turn off etc and how do u stop the airbag light coming on etc etc

You have to fit 2.7 ohm resistors (Maplins) into the electrical circuit under the seat.

Heres a couple of piccies mate:

airbagresistor.webp

airbagresistor_2.webp

Just disconnect the black connector underneath and push the resistor into the remaining half into the 2 coloured metal sleeves ......not the black wired one as this the earth. The resistor fools the computer into thinking the airbag is still present.

PS. These piccies are from a v6 but i think any clio with seat airbags are roughly the same set up.

ok brilliant that should be a great help wen i can see the pics, they dont come up at work, will let u no how it goes:D

the air bag thing was a school boy error when i fitted mine . they didnt go off but i didnt know i had to disconnect the battery until i posted a them on here and was kindly told that i should have disconnected the battery . lol .

the seats look a treat black vinyl leather with silver cobra stitching and black 3 point detachable harneses

Yeh, just put mine in on Saturday, then with new CG Lock is such an improvement. May put harnesses in at a later date mind, but spent enough this month.

Also got some £1.50 caps from B+Q, not sure what they designed for, but with a packet of blu-tak now cover the bolts and finish the look a bit better. The seat belt pre-tensioners needs covering somehow now.

nice one fella, well i brought to detachable harneses for mine so if i ever need any 1 in a the bk there is a quick release catch. im gonna fit mine saturday cant wait. are u happy with them? got any pics m8

Yeh, very happy, shoulders now feel supported and just the overall position improved. I'll go and get a few pics.

thats wat i was hoping for cant wait to fit them, wat did u do about the airbags etc etc

Will have to get some better pics over weekend unfortunately, but i just left the airbags alone for now as i don't mind a few more lights on. Will probably go to Maplins sometime though for the resistors.

i no haz:( im sorry as soon as i pull on the drive after work, i will get some, so dont worry ur lil impatient ass lol ;)
