Clio 172 Full Fat Xenons

Does anyone know the ratings of the Clio 172 Xenons ?
And the bulb size (Code), are they D2s or 9006 or something ?

I mean are they 4000k rated or 6000k ?

As i fancy upgrading them to 8000k or 10000k bulbs or something

Their a D2S 4300 rating, very much doubt you'll get hight than that i know that philips do a bluevision bulb in the D2S which gives you extra bright white light and a longer beam

If you look on ebay there's quite a few 6000k bulbs that all start at 0.99p from Hong Kong

wouldnt 6000k mean they were whiter? can you put like 8000k bulbs in them to make them more blue?

umm i might look in to this as i reckon mine are not that bright

changing to 6000 or 8000 etc will make them less bright.

The higher the number, the more blue they are and the less useable light they actually give out.

Lol, just what i was about to say.

Why would you want to make your xenons less bright? Surely thats the point of xenons...

Couldn't agree more, anything else is too blue. Fitted some 6000k bulbs in my mates astra and I couldn't put up with the blueness. 4300k is as close to normal daylight as you can get.

Xenons are overrated. My cup dipped beam with uprated osram bulbs were better..........
