Yes they did. It was shite, the earlier ones were in 'Authentique' spec and believe it or not you can still buy one as part of the 'Campus Sport' range.

Yep they did, usually Authentique spec, can be told apart because they have 1.2 on the side badges instead of 16V.

very quiet car aswell i thot...and the power steering was fantastic...could turn the wheel with your pinky...(or willy, each to their own)

As said above the 8v engines are torquey lower down so they probably feel quicker around town, with the 16v's you have to rev it to get any power.

Nah its just how those tyres fit for some reason. They're not the best tyres in the world anyway so I wasn't going round corners too quick with those on, on F1s on the other hand .

My GF has a 1.2 8v clio campus and to be honest, it's not the "big pile of f**king sh*t" I was expecting it to be, it turned out to be just "sh*t".


Having to change down two gears just to get up a hill made me giggle.
