Too much oil?!?!?!

Right ive made a school boy error!

Changed the oil and filter on my car, ive put 5.6L of oil in the engine... like a fool i thought it was 5.3L plus abit extra for the oil filter DOH!

Stupid question, but am i ok leaving the extra in there, will it do any "damage"?

Over filling the car with Oil is one of the worst things you can do... I wouldnt leave it as it is but thats me

Yours will be fine then, i topped mine up as it was only 1/3 above the low notch on the dipstick... maybe mine drained more oil than yours LOL
