Engine cover painting help

Hey all i have primed my engine cover today. looks good.
But my question is do i need to 1200 wet and dry befor i spray it tomorrow or can i just paint it straight away?

probably best to wet flat it mate as when the final finish is achieved you will see all the dings and spots when the light hits it, i would but its your choice

Ah right cool just as i thought ill give it a good sand befor i paint it tomorrow.
Do i need to be hard or soft rubbing?

Just a light sanding will do...I done mine and its fine

just done it the same colour as the car to give it a clean look gonna finish them off tomorrow if i have time

aye, if u rub your finger over it, you will probaby feel a little rough-ness if you get a light scratch remover it acts as a cutting compound, flattening this rough-ness ( i use t-cut), then give it a little polish with some autoglym super resin polish and a seal with autoglym extra gloss protection, should bring up alot better shine

i finally got the stickers this morning.

i was wondering can i put another coat of laquer ontop of the stickers?

I wouldn't , they are made from vinyl and usually melt / curl up at the edges . The stickers will b fine on top of the lacquer .
