Painting wheel nuts ? Or get new ones ?

The wheel nuts on the car are pretty minging (no whre near my standards at all) a few have slighty rusty heads on them:dapprove:

Anyone recommend some decent paint for them ? Or is it worth me getting new bolts all round ??

Can someone tell me what bolts (size) I need & how much they are ?
Or what paint to get ?

i just painted mine, bit of primer, then i used black hammerite and whacked them in the oven for 30min

vw wheel nut covers look good don't know whether there 17mm or 19mm.i think yours are 19mm.not sure though

Cheers, you reckon they'd look ok done in black with standard silver wheels ? (they will look better than how they are at the min)
Plus I have some hammerite smooth in black too, bonus.

I had to buy 4 from a local Renualt dealer when I broke the key for my locking nuts on a trackday.

So for you, for a full set that'll be £96.00 + vat.

I've known people who have expensive JDM Rays nuts to do this lol

Do you just have 1 set of locking wheel nuts on...if you have two sets I have nice shiny ones spare that I didnt use.


just counted 8 spare ones...if you have one set of locking wheel nuts..you could buy another set only £20 from halfrauds or £13 from GSF and I will bring these ones to the south mimms meet.
You can have them for nothing.

I just bought a few to replaced the tatty ones on the GTi, luckily on a couple of quid each from Pug. Going to see if I can find somewhere to recoat the old ones.
