your the one that been playing up in this thread im just sick of you slating a car you know nothing about !

yet when people that have owned both (me included) tell you something you dont want to hear you still continue going on about how its s**t just because it has a vauxhall badge on it your worse than the people that slate skoda's just because its a skoda !

Dare i say it..>For the money i reckon the VX was better than the exige...(Going by Justin's- ANd i drove both) I liked them.

  172 Cup, AX trackbeast.
Another point:

He clearly thinks that slamming a car makes it handle better. Renault don't spend millions on chassis engineering for nothing. Stiff ride does not equal good handling. Grip alone does not make good handling. A slammed Clio may be better on a track, but on a real road I would bet a months wages that a standard or lightly lowered model would spank your arse into the kitty litter.

The VX220/Elise handles better because Lotus know what they are doing, and have done for a long time. Ever noticed how you don't see a 'slammed' VX220? Because it would knacker it up. Simple.

well if you 'slammed' the vx220 it would be scraping off the floor, of course lowering a car makes it better handling imo, since lowering mine i'v certainly felt the difference

Your bang on there! VXT half the price of the exige.. Still had to own the lotus though ;)

Quite frankly Jambo, if you havent driven one, your not entitled to an opinion

From the sounds of it, he shouldnt be let out on his own! Let alone entitled to an opinion.

OK then I LOVE VAUXHALLS you all happy now lol

no

i really dont like vauxhalls either BUT i know when they make a great car
VX220 na/tubby
Lotus Carlton
Astra GTE
chevette HS
VXR8

yes the vast majority they make is bland boring everyday econo box's but they occasionally make a fantastic car

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)

You do know Clios are girls cars don't you? Even the sports. I came to agreement with that a long time ago.

I'd much rather be seen driving a VX220 than my Clio. But there you go.

In your opinion.

Lowering a small amount can help, but too much (slamming) plays havoc with your geometry, ride and steering.

Next time you see an Elise or VX220, have a proper look. They have a fair amount of ride height, supple suspension and reasonably skinny tyres....

Wrong. The lower the car, the better the handling ;)

  R26R, 172, S2k
i own both, and would say round the track the vx220 na would eat standard clio 182, but on a country road the clio would have it!

i dunno what planet this boys on but he needs his head checked out ;)

oh and i know a lot more hairdressers that drive clios :p
