Unable to start Clio READ IN - NEED HELP ASAP?

HI, got a renault clio its cat c but when i bought it it started etc key fob did not work thought it was battery but something had broke inside it, tried to start car one day and never started, so had to relay to renault as i needed new car and coding to the car, got a call from them and they said its not coding because it parts from a different car on it, and they need to replace ecu and engine injector etc and they need a master key from france ... am looking at over £1000+ ???!!!

Can this be solved some other way like bypass the immobiliser?

my car details are 2001 clio 1.2

Perhaps someone changed the ecu in the car prior to you owning it.
A new key should code to your car no problem though.

renault said they cant code it - are they talkin BS ?

can a local unlocked person do it

You can unlock an ECU for the car to start. Check in G4Z thread in the Common faults section as he needs a new ECU.

ECU's seem to be an unknown quantity on here tbh!

I'l have to bite the bullit soon n go to Reno i think!
