What the fvck do they do to this stuff in the factory?

Its possibly the hardest substance known to man. After 2 passes with IP on a cutting pad, 1 pass with Final finish on a polishing pad and 1 pass of SRP and and coat of EGP the wing looks no different lol

Yes its a glossier red that the red of the car but its still covered in light scratches.

Makes reno paint look like butter.

Swirls are reduced but the RID's aren't touched and its still a little hazy.

Just had a look under street lamps when its dark. Most of the swirls have otally gone. I'll have to give it another pass though i think.

It's an utter b**ch to do. You really need a rotary tbh! DA's just don't cut compounding well! 3M Fastcut plus is what you need really. Problem is its so dusty, I use a touch of ultra fina on the pad to keep that down. Refine it with something like Swissvax cleaner fluid on a Med/Polishin pad. I gave mine a quick go whn i first got it but it pretty much laughed at me! Pointless!

We have a vines contract at the garage i work at, the paint we use specially for BMW is called Glasurit and it is pretty tough stuff but really good at matching colours, sometimes we use it to match other cars colors other than bmws lol

unfortunatly though with solid colours once they start to fade slightly its hard to get them to look mint again

Respray in waterbase is what you need mate lol

Big improvement, but BMW paint is one of the worst I have come across, if you leave it to get that way, which, buying a second hand car, you're going to have to!!

Quite a few JD. I knew it was going to be a b**ch so i just tried to kill it. Massive speeds and pressure was the only way to make a difference.

When I did an M a couple of months back, I had lakeland cutting, Megs IP, then FF, both using minimal product and passes around 20-24 (4-8 over normal). Took a while!!

TBH it's a world better than it was, just needs refined further! lol Although the "I can't be arsed going over it again kicks in!" As it did with me at the weekend!

See Menz is quite a cloggy polish and BMW paint like porka's can be a bit sticky. Maybe worth tryin the Megs equiv.

I found the Megs to be incredibly oily, but may be helpful on Beemer paint . . .

Glad I changed to Menz for the clio, the 80/83 twins from Megs just didn't cut it.
