Gaz85's new cup and my 72

Gaz popped round this morning after picking up his new cup. Had a look around it and its a lovely car! Needs a few personal touches but other than that its a minter. Only 15k gen millage! Shocked!

No fancy place for the pics so just took them at the top of the road.

Only mods that we did today were, removed the dealer sticker, and replaced the front indicators with silver visions and the rear with the bluey silver visions.

Both cars look well but I'm slightly biased towards the cup being a cup owner myself :rasp:.

Gaz? Notice your back end sits lower than the front end just like mine did when I 1st got it. It annoyed the s**t out of me so I ended up buying sportlines after 2 weeks of owning it.

Yeah its annoying him too. SPortlines i think will be the next mod.

aye me and dave noticed that yesterday when i went round back sits pretty perfect really, front is like a 4x4! So that will be defo getting sorted!

And im still shocked everytime i turn it on to see 15k haha! Feel bad taking it out in the rain the engine bay is so clean!

Mine was exactly the same, I put it down to the previous owner having a heavy sound system in the back which caused the rear springs to sag. I replaced all four springs with Sportlines and it sat so much better. Lifted the rear slightly and dropped the front significantly.

this one doesnt appear to have had anything in the back from what i can see, but defo too high at the front.

Handling on yours improved much on the sportlines?
 
It did slightly yeah, seems to turn in better. Nothing drastically improved though.

As for the standard ride height, I've seen quite a few just recently that seem to ride to high on the front and it's only the Cups too. My 1st Cup did it as well but I was carrying heavy tools in that one everyday

Lol i wish i had loads lying around! think the wheels refurbed will come first cause thats the thing annoying me the most :P But aye maybe coil overs once my old wheels sell, or i make a thread to get them sold haha

Just to think what colour ;)
 
iv just got a mk1 because my mk2 is broke lol i had dubmeister ones on my mk2 but i made the mistake of getting the "GB" on and it looked gay lol, where are yours from i want the exact same ones and how much you pay ?

Think he got them from fancyplates jamie, cause i was talking about which plates to get for mine and sure it was there he said.

Wow calm down dear!

I never said i put them on. I mearly suggested that i thought the plates had come from one of the above places. I also suggested that you could get legal ones from www.dubmeister.co.uk.

I have only put the sportlines on since i took over the car, never claimed otherwise.

Na its just I saw on clubclio about the evo sticker, they dont gove them away as a subscription, meant to say but forgot when we saw epic lift off oversteer fail!

Alot will say stick to the original colour (silver) but I've gone for dark grey (anthricite) << how ever you spell it. But they match my yellow calipers.

lol yeah i was saying to dave basically what you have done with the bullets and calipers yellow looks really good.

If i do colour ill end up wanting them the other, will have to have a look at a few cups and see what i think is best.
