Finally got round to fitting my suspension

  tiTTy & SV650
Fitted koni adjustables last night along with some Eibach Sportlines and some new top mounts and bearings.

Getting the tracking done tomorrow as it needs it drastically now.

I have to get some aduster knobs for the shocks still so I can play about with the damping.

Will post my experiences of the combination here, its not just a picture thread hence not in Clio media

You c**k! "PM - I've wrote it off!"

Looks cracking sir. Next more, wheel refurb and splitter?

PMSL couldn't resist.

Next is a setup (alignment) at Pro Grip in Bonnybridge tomorrow, will refurb the wheels and fit 205 45 16s at some point as 195s are gash.

Splitter doesn't bother me, will prob need discs at some point so will fit my braided lines and new discs and pads.

Going for mechanically sound as opposed to aesthetically pleasing! I may replace the wishbones, the arb bushes, upper gearbox mount and dog bone mount.

In all honesty i noticed NO difference between 195's and 205's other than looks!

Aye. but you'd be surprised what a 60quid bit of plastic car do. Also cup spoiler...I really like the std wheels now, almost prefer them to speedlines now!!

Cup spolier I see yes but would have to get one painted, CBA

Not looking for an advantage with the tyres other than rim protection and they don't look like they've been stretched to fit!

Aye. Will be interested to hear how you get on with this set up...It's not a common route...But i think it would be my preferred route. Shame Eibach stopped making the shocks.

I only went for these because I reckon the quality will be far better than Vmax and they're plenty low enough for my liking.

Good reviews from Yozza from way back, they're too harsh just now so I need to get a damping adjuster knob to play with.

I bought the springs and shocks 2nd hand, would have been a fortune had I bought it brand spanking new.

I paid £210 for the Koni's off ebay (inc postage) came from a performance parts fitter with a vat receipt etc, had fitted to a customers car and the customer didn't like the ride! Apparently only 1000miles on them.

The springs I bought for £80 3rd hand off CS the guy I bought them from hadn't got round to fitting them and I knew him and the previous owner so had no issues with buying 2nd hand from them.

The strut tops and bearings I bought on ebay for just shy of £60, they're Bilstein oem parts, identical to the ones that were on the car.

I paid my mate and his mate £30 each for fitting (festive spirit and had a bonus at work so thought what they hell...)

So about £380 all in, getting the alignment done tomorrow prob £50-£60.

Koni shocks alone are usually £400-£500, Sportlines usually about £120. The strut tops and washers are cheaper from a local ECP due to no postage costs.

tracking done, he's recommended I get camber bolts as its at -2deg camber for now.

Toe was way out with the new suspension with total toe @ 1 deg 37min but is now -0deg 12min

Feels a lot better, track rod ends have slight play and advised to replace in next 6 months.

  tiTTy & SV650
I didn't go for -2 it aint adjustable.

I'll add camber bolts when I get the track rod ends replaced

took it out some back roads, its solid very nice feel on turn in, no real bodyroll (even with 400kg of people last night it handled lol).

Damping is too hard though, need to experiment!
