nice job, is that with a can or brush?

looks like brush from the paper so great effort to get that level of smoothness if so

looks like racing blue caliper paint lol ill be doing mine gloss black over the weekend did you use any break cleaner first or just sand back then paint?

All I did was wire brush the calipers thoroughly, then brush on the hammerite with a 1" brush. Left it for a while then applied a 2nd coat until dry, then cleaned wheels and put them back on.

I'm sold. I'll be painting over my silver with blue.. Sorry Cal ;)

Mate honestly, go for it! Nothing to say sorry for pal, can't wait to see pics of when you do to be honest mate, think your car looks awesome! Glad I've made you think!

Looks good. Surprising how much of a difference it makes isn't it? Very tedious job though.

Your right, very tedious indeed! Had to make sure I used the same amount of paint on each caliper to look right. (which by the way I didn't!)
The one in the pics was the 1st one which went the best. The 2nd caliper I used a tad bit to much and it was something I noticed, wether someone else will I don't know.

Yep all brush! I did was 50/50 at the time on buying the spray can but I though I'd make more mess with a spray so went for the brush on option, definatly think I made the right choice to.

Look good mate, its something I want to do to mine too, but in yellow.

Is it worth lacquering for extra protection, esp against brake dust or is the hammerite stuff fine by itself?

No one will notice it, I knocked big lumps of paint out of mine when I changed the brake pads and discs and no one has noticed that.

How many coats did you have to apply? Mine took 4 but I'd used a lighter colour (Yellow)

Only took two coats which wasn't to bad.

As for the lacquering, I thought about it but didn't do it. I'll do it on the back ones today and see how it looks then i'll do the front.
