Floating car...

So... in relation to this thread: The worst thing ever

After A LOT of swearing etc, me and a couple of mates finally managed to get the two snapped bolts out of my engine today, leaving me with a car like this:

On two axle stands and with a trolley jack holding the engine up as no mount is connected:

The second one was really tough, would'nt turn at all with traditional methods, but we drilled a series of small holes in it forming a line big enough to put a flat head screw driver, then a mate with stupidly strong hands got it out.

All in all a good days work, but my question:

Does anyone know what size bolt goes where? Or if they are all equal in size?

Seeing as mine have snapped so I've lost bits of them I have no idea what size bolt went where? (if they are actually different sizes)

Rewarding to do it myself? I guess so.. Saved me a fortune, now thats rewarding!!!

A tiny TINY TINY TINY TINY bit of drill bit may have gone down towards the cambelt, my mate snapped a bit but we have no idea where it went... (sort of lol)

Am I in trouble?

All the bolts are the same pal.

Cheers mate :)

I've got one then, just need two more...

Dude... WTF man? I duno what to say except I hope you get that sorted!

You came off pretty lightly with that, 1 bolt holding that side of the engine up, your dicing with death.. So perhaps this was the cause of the knocking you had recently? It may have been slightly cracked for a while without knowing!

Glad the cars ok though.

Hey Darren, tell me about it mate....

Yes indeed it may have been the cause of the vibration.... just for good measure I also have a top GB mount to put on soon, but the spindle needs tightening first.

It looks as though that engine mount is in good condition, no signs of wear at all, so I'll fit as is, and then see what happens.....

The car may be ok, as long as that bit of drill bit doesn't kill the cambelt.... (I'd burn it then)

All the bolts are the same pal.

Is this 100% the case?

It'll be 'reet when this part arrives!

Hopefully it'll solve all my shakes etc, I just need to do the top GB mount next... but the securing stud is spinning too.

The "fun" never ends with these cars it seems.
