I've already experianced the intermitten starting problems :rolleyes:

Went to Bath to buy this, It was peeing down so I couldn't really see what I was buying. 71k, early 02, 2 previouse keepers. Nice little project for me, If I can put up with It!

^ lol, why? ;) I plan on cleaning her up this weekend, just to see the damage under all that crap. I Intend on getting her de dented :)
 
I think I'll be needing all the cash I can get my hands on with this one!

Just a good detail, set of alloys & engine put right Is on the cards ;)
 
I can definately report back after the detail, as for not cleaning Betty, well .... we'll see! ;)
 
whats the cause of the intermittent starting problem as mine does it and its embarrassing
 
If it cranks and doesn't fire up, then would be crank sensor, try cleaning it first though!

Mine does it occassionally and starts after I touch the wires going into the sensor. Terribly embarassing at 8:15am at a set of traffic lights with high curbs, on a busy road when the car dies!

As for not starting - mine does that sometimes, but won't even crank, fire or show any warning lights :S
5 minutes later it goes as normal - try that one! lol
 
ive just started cleaning adam lewis's clio which is slightly worse that yours magpie

Where are you going to get it de-dented? dentbusters are meant to be good, plus they turn up in their wicked mkV golfs.

give me a flash when you see me. as of tomorrow you wont be able to miss my car. Got some brigt ne shoes for her :) just put a last coat of laquer on them today :D

Cool! We should hook up one evening! Im only in Hazelmere :o

cheers peeps :D Im struggeling finding some renault alloys atm :( Im dying to get them sorted! & the dents, she looks awful!

I was thinking of lowering her a little & some nice deep dish alloys? Dont wanna look like a girl racer though! She is foooookin slow!

mine used to this, mine was the little blue connector thing to the starter motor cost pennies:).
very nice opotunity and amazing 'v' !!! :D

Yeah we definatly should! also,not deep dish unless its going to be slammed. some 172 wheels perhaps?
 
Yeh, I've decided against the euro look. Just some decent wheels & lowered a little. Maybe some spacers depending how it looks after that. Then some colour coding, yellow wheels, yellow details etc etc! lol! One step at a time! ;)

My main aim Is the bodywork atm, gettin the dents removed in the next few weeks :)
 
all it needs is you'r magic touch with the cleaning gear, cheapish coilovers and the right set of wheels and its perfect
 
^ aw cheers mate! :) Hoping to get some dynamique wheels. What coilcovers do I need? I thought just springs would do it? Soz, Im new to modding!

I'd like her to sit pretty much where my old ff 182 did untouched. ta :)
 
Pick up some ph1 or ph2 172 wheels, both will sort it well and neither are that expensive at the moment :)

I'd be interested as to how nice a set of wheels, springs and a "Magpie Clean" can make this wee thing look.

Oh and an RS grille :)
