Your opinions on FCS 2010

You're the only one, it was an FCS sticky after all ;)

Glad you're going to look into making it a bit more social, I think it'd be cool to create a central circle with a few cheapo fold out chairs or stools or something? Bung the tent there too and bingo, social area!

Oh and I didn't realise the flumps were free, I though you were just selling sweets?! FLOL! I want one now :(

Bingo is a good idea tbh - Naked bingo anyone ;)

Lol ^ Didn't see you around Tyssen, had a nose at the car though, looked good!

OMG someone paid some attention to it :D I think she was starting to feel a little neglected tbh lol

I saw yours too hun, looks good....assume you got it sorted after you accident?

Haha, yeah I had a good nose :approve:

Yeah all sorted and now it's got the 2ltr sitting in it I can't help but love it more!

This was my first FCS and it was a good turn out and alot of good cars. The Trade stand were disapointing and limited. I was finished looking around by lunchtime. Good but could of been a bit more special.

haha, btw nice to meet you at brampton hut greeny, bet you thought why is that random guy coming up to me lol!

My first FCS and I thought the day was good up until lunch time, boredom kicked in just walking around seeing the same things over and over.

Watching the track sessions was good, some mean cars out on that track. The white golf was entertaining to watch go round.

The two guys on the bikes did nothing but wheelies and endo's, only so many of them you can see before you start yawning.

And short-stop with that microphone, christ! I felt like ramming that microphone down her throat! Anoying cow!

Traders stand were dull!! Although it was good to chat to Tom from JMS for the first time, what a nice bloke.

Also thought the admin staff did a great job, big thank you to all you guys!

Mark told me people were allowed to have their own BBQs.

Was with 206info last year and had a big one, they did again this year. :)

Mark also told me we were allowed BBQ's so I lit it (eventually) I didn't drive it all that way to take it home again with Burgers that wouldn't have been much good after a day in the car!

Well the signs as you were driving in said different! :quiet: (looked like they'd been put there that morning!)

As above... :)

thats why ad kept reving his engine. it was to make it look like exhuast fumes :quiet:

That was smoke, That may be that Turbo Diesel Oil some tw*t has put in my engine :rasp:

Also flumpless :(

Flumps should've been handed out when parking, I <3 Flumps!

The idea of this thread was to give Mark a little bit of feedback. I know there's not much he can do about the food prices etc but atleast it gives everyone a say.

So far the main points appear to be the Trade stalls and the food prices so we're getting somewhere atleast!

Agreed on the flump distribution :D

One thing that did strike me as odd was the fact that Ktec weren't there, did I miss something?

Nope, I did think that Jam-Sport may be there also.

Maybe it's not their thing or they consider the prices of the stands OTT...

Who knows!

To be fair you can't moan at the food prices, it's like that at any sort of event you go to.

Besides how much do you want to eat? I had a burger for £3.50 and that was it, I'd rather pay that than mess about with a bbq tbh.

I never went in the marquee, I didn't think there was anything of interest in there.

I thought it was a little too much of the same tbh, I felt I'd seen everything already even the first time walking around. I'd of come away a bit dissapointed if I'd have not gone on track.

Also, why wasn't there a massive que all the way down the road this time?

I got there about 7:30 and I virtually drove straight in. Last year I was queing for about 30 minutes before I even saw the main gate.

Its the quality too, the pizza was absolute shite, worst thing i have ever tasted in my life and I have eaten kebabs at 4 in the morning from blackpool front in the past!

That kid was crazy..

ha, i never gotout beaten by a welsh ;)

was good day, show was the same as last year. and i thought wont be worth while going next year as i cant see it changing although i prob will though with darren, he was alot quicker on track this year in his trophy. hes improving ever track sesh imo. i cant complain i got a good picture dragging in with the van.

we were right behind your stand. would have thought you would have had it in 1 big long strip rather than it being staggered. like last years
which ithought was kind of daft as you had the most cars, thats down to the organisers of the show and not cs

I didn't advertise the free flumps just in casr I ate them all on my way up, and it acts as a reward to the people that made the effort to visit the cs marquee ;)
I walked in and even bought a CS sticker, even tho i was after a white one.
NO one offered me a free flump, ive been done by the admin :(

Hey Up Donny, we'll have to do a BBQ out side of the fence 'off grounds' and pass to people on the other side of the fence that have CS name tags.
An the famous neighbours table again.

Food was over priced, 4 quid 50p for ½lb burger with onions that wernt onions.

We can certainly do a BBQ in future if it's allowed. I'm sure Mark will see this thread.

Maybe individuals are allowed and not clubs as if we buy a couple of hundred burgers or something, then that's going to be a lot cheaper than the vans and they won't be happy.

I agree with all of the above. For a ten year celebration is was pretty damp and just not enough going on - went home at 2pm lol.

CS cars looked musturd - I could organise some hotties to be the 'CS girls' for next year, (Admins need to provide the CS hot pants thou)

P.S saw Gray in his car and was about to say hello, but he was having a barny with his lady :(

Having been to FCS for the first time this year it got me thinking whether it was possible to have just a once yearly mass CS meet somewhere where all these idea's in this thread could be implemented, like the bbq and maybe a mass football match, maybe where everyone has a voting card for things like best kept car, loudest stereo, best engine/exhaust sound, things that anyone has a chance of winning, basically bringing the whole best in show thing down to a club level. If everyone was willing to pay a tenner and say 200 turned then 2k would buy a lot of burgers and cheapo trophies ;)

Just got me thinking thats all..........put it this way, i would have rather turned up to that than FCS :).....the problem with it was there was no structure to the day so it got boring very quick.

Is this just far too complex to even think of doing ?........probably need too many licences right?

I'm just thinking that the local meets we have seem to have more going for them than FCS!, the last meet we arranged lasted longer too, 10am till 6pm we made it go on till......FCS got boring way before then.

Who was the girl in the flourescent jacket that came talking to us for a bit? Got out of a bean if I remember rightly...

2nd year i've been, literally the same as last year.

Who had the idea of crotch rockets at a car show???

There were more trade stands last year though. The layout was a bit cack as they shud've put all car makes together then break them down into models wud make more sense, still keep the club stands though!!

Trax is huuuuuge compared to FCS, it takes 20 mins to walk from one end to the other lol!!!

Same.

I'm left wondering if it's the same every year. I thought last year was a better overall experience but maybe that was because i hadn't been before.

Yup, I remember who you were, I was wearing the white polo shirt..

I'm sure myself or kirsty offered you a flump, as you must have visited 2 or 3 times :approve:

Edit: I thought you talked quite posh for a londoner too!

I'm sure someone did offer me a flump, but I thought it was more a "buy something and a flump" than "have a flump", tbh I was about as "with it" as a Kappa tracksuit.

Oh, and quite posh? LOL! I'm not sure whether to be pleasantly suprised or offended?

Grammar school don't you know ;)

Oh you

Not really, but would involve camping.

206info have a massive one each year at Buxton i think it is. Works very well

Just needs alot of organising, maybe something to get some volunteers for next year

If I was one to take everything seriously, I'd almost read some of the flump comments as a complaint about a 7p freebie..

I think this would be a good idea, you would have to have the location central between lands end and john'o'grots just so neither north or south members complain about having to travel further than anyone else.
It would be great with either abit of camping one night or have the meet in the day and camping that very night before certain people have a long drive home.

I might just get a thread going to get ideas of members and see which month and location would be better.

Half way between portsmouth and newcastle imo, so near to FCS/birmingham. Thats where most members live so would make the most sense.

I know its a pain for the scottish folk but if we had it half way between LE and JOG then your looking at leeds area, that is great for me but try getting the southern lot up here, no chance!

The CS stand was alot better organized, although it didn't seem as full as last year, so top trumps to the organizers for the parking etc.

The actual show itself I thought got a quite boring after lunchtime, once id seen and done everything. There didn't seem to be a ton of structure to the show. I think that they need to have a few different shows in the main arena, and for christ sake sort the presenter out!
Although the trade stand seemed better this year, there definatley needs to be more, as it took like 5 minutes for me to walk round and see them all.
I can't really explain what is missing, i just think there needs to be more 'stuff'

I actually enjoyed the weekend, had an hours sleep followed by a 3 hour drive and allthough i wasnt actually meant to go I had a good laugh, Kept my mind off other stuff so I cant complain.

I must say I dont know how I got through the day without boredom but I managed it, I Didnt watch Terry Grant but did watch some track sessions, walked around the cars and natted to a few people off here, Hai laura!

I purchased some stickers and got a free flump, also enquired about a CS most hated member t shirt for Lbrench.

I agree a BBQ would be a good idea or just something to get all the CS lot together, I didnt even know there was a CS track slot until it was too late.

Also agree with the Bint on the mic doing my head in, and trade stands being badly priced aswell as food. K-tec were there but only the yellow 250.
