You can replace all those gussets with one bolt to the pillar. Just unecessary weight.

Bolts are not as strong with sheer loads though I thought. I'm sure gussets would not be done if the strength benefits outweighed the weight. I've had my car fitted with gussets for the A and B pillars, but then my car has virtually no inner skin so the cage has to take all the load..
